This route is aimed at those who have ambitions of progressing to being a school leader or have recently become a CL for the first time. The training involved in this focuses on effective management of departments and curriculum building. The sessions can also be accessed on an individual basis, allowing you to attend sessions that might be useful to you and can be accessed as part of the guided CPD routes.
The programme involves attendance at a number of sessions throughout the year aimed at developing the key skills that all leaders need to be successful. The sessions cover everything from how to run a successful department meeting, to how to have a difficult conversation. All the sessions are high quality sessions run by experienced CLs or members of SLT.
There are 9 sessions in total. If you follow this route, the first 5 sessions are compulsory whilst the following 4 are optional.
