Hard work pays off as Ormiston Victory Academy students achieve A Level success

Students and staff at Ormiston Victory Academy are celebrating today as students collect their A Level and post-16 results.

Sixth form students at our school have achieved results that reflect their hard work, commitment and determination over the past two years.

The students’ successes have enabled many to secure places at their chosen universities, on competitive apprenticeships, in further training and into employment, as they prepare to take the next steps in their education and careers.

Among the achievements being celebrated across the school, some standout successes include:

• Matthew achieved top grades English Literature, classics, French and history.
• Kiki has secured a place at the University of York to study English Literature due to fantastic results across English Literature, classics, French and history.
• Tazmin attained Distinction*, A and a B in business, art and economics and will be going on to study Business Management at Durham University.
• Daniel will be progressing to study Engineering at the University of East Anglia after securing a Distinction* and Distinction in his Applied General qualification, and a B in mathematics.
• Kaitlyn achieved Distinction*, Distinction and Distinction across her Applied General qualifications and will heading to Lincoln University to study Psychology.

Students performed particularly well in English Literature, art and physics. Across Applied General qualifications, multiple Distinction* grades were achieved in business, psychology, engineering and ICT.
