Students at Ormiston Victory Academy in Costessey, which is part of Ormiston Academies Trust, are celebrating today after receiving fabulous GCSE results, as they get ready to take their next steps in their education journey.
The academy’s overall results and estimated positive Progress 8 score reflect the hard work and additional effort and hours committed by both staff and students alike. The academy has welcomed students and their families today to celebrate their achievements alongside friends and staff to mark their hard work and support over the past 5 years.
The Sixth Form team at Lord Nelson Sixth Form College, which is based in Costessey at Ormiston Victory, are thrilled many students will be continuing with their further studies at the school. Of particular note are the new courses running from September, which include A Level Classical Civilisation and A Level French.
Today was dedicated to celebrating the work of the whole Year Group as a team, but there have been a number of significant and outstanding outcomes:
Ormiston Victory Academy prides itself on delivering educational opportunities which help each child and young person achieve. By being part of Ormiston, the academy strives to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background, by providing the best learning environments both inside and outside the classroom.
Naomi Palmer, Principal at Ormiston Victory Academy, said:
“We are extremely proud of our Class of 2024 for their continued resilience and the results they have achieved, which are hugely deserved. They have worked hard over the last five years, most of which have been extremely challenging for all young people for a variety of reasons, and it has been brilliant to be celebrating their achievements today. The support they’ve been given by Mr Willis and the Year 11 team has again been exemplary – and this shows in their outcomes – and their smiles today.
I would like to thank all of our students, their families, our staff and the wider academy community for their ongoing support and we look forward to seeing our students progress on to the next stage of their education and fulfil their goals.”
