Ormiston Victory Academy Celebrates Excellent Outcomes

Students at Ormiston Victory Academy in Costessey, which is part of Ormiston Academies Trust, are celebrating today after receiving fabulous GCSE results, as they get ready to take their next steps in their education journey.

The academy’s overall results and estimated positive Progress 8 score reflect the hard work and additional effort and hours committed by both staff and students alike. The academy has welcomed students and their families today to celebrate their achievements alongside friends and staff to mark their hard work and support over the past 5 years.

The Sixth Form team at Lord Nelson Sixth Form College, which is based in Costessey at Ormiston Victory, are thrilled many students will be continuing with their further studies at the school. Of particular note are the new courses running from September, which include A Level Classical Civilisation and A Level French.

Today was dedicated to celebrating the work of the whole Year Group as a team, but there have been a number of significant and outstanding outcomes:

• Rio Mundle, Victor Madu & Finlay Corke have succeeded in gaining scholarships with Norwich City Football Club. These three students have been offered a contract at Norwich City Football Club for next year, as a result of their talent in football. They all achieved great results.
• Zoe Zheng achieved the highest Progress 8 score in the Year Group which includes three grade 9s in Mandarin, literature and combined science.
• Lily, whose exceptional art work has recently been on display at The Crypt at the cathedral in Norwich, has won a prestigious scholarship at Norwich School with her fantastic results which includes grade 9s in English language and history.
• Esther Akinsiku, who was shortlisted for the OAT MFL award, secured a wonderful set of results, including nine grade 9 results in mathematics, English language and literature, chemistry, computer science, French, philosophy, biology and geography.
